Choosing a suitable and high quality digital camera can be a daunting and overwhelming task. There are hundreds of models to choose from and many of them are from very reputable companies. If you are not careful, you may end up buying a camera that is too expensive but does not cater to your lifestyle needs or buying a camera that is of poor quality, or both. If you are just a casual photographer takes pictures mainly for leisure pictures, then I 10 mega pixel should be good enough.
However, take note that higher pixel does not equate to higher quality pictures. How well the pictures is taken still depend mainly on photographer's skill. It still depends on his or her knowledge of the of the environment and know what angle to take. There are still professional photographers out there that uses the old pin hole cameras and still take great pictures with it.
Now you need to be aware of certain features that I think every high quality camera should have. First, having a face detection feature is a highly recommended since it can help you take better pictures of you and your friends. Image stabilization feature is good for who don't have a good grip of the camera and take away the need for a tripod. There has to be at least 3x zooming feature judging from today standard.
In conclusion, the best type of camera will be the one that suit your type of preferences rather than going for an high end and expensive model. Okay, now that you have a clearer idea on what type of digital camera you want, now it's the time to choose one and take some beautiful pictures.
