Choosing a suitable and high quality digital camera can be a daunting and overwhelming task. There are hundreds of models to choose from and many of them are from very reputable companies. There are still professional photographers out there that uses the old pin hole cameras and still take great pictures with it.
Now you need to be aware of certain features that I think every high quality camera should have. First, having a face detection feature is a highly recommended since it can help you take better pictures of you and your friends. Image stabilization feature is good for who don't have a good grip of the camera and take away the need for a tripod. There has to be at least 3x zooming feature judging from today standard.
